land.<\/p><p data-start=\"521\" data-end=\"847\">One thing I\u2019ve genuinely loved during this period is working from caf\u00e9s. There\u2019s something special about discovering a city through its everyday places: the neighborhood coffee shop, the quiet corner table, the background noise of students studying, freelancers typing away, and spontaneous work meetings happening around you.<\/p><p data-start=\"849\" data-end=\"918\">It\u2019s a kind of energy you can\u2019t really plan. You just step into it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eecab4e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"eecab4e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 data-start=\"664\" data-end=\"699\">Why WeWork Made Sense (At First)<\/h5><p data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"875\">For 2026, I had planned to enroll in a <strong data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"766\">full access membership<\/strong> at <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">WeWork<\/span><\/span>. As someone who travels often, it felt like the perfect solution:<\/p><ul data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"1039\"><li data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"938\"><p data-start=\"879\" data-end=\"938\">A reliable workspace and stable Wi-Fi in different cities<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"968\"><p data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"968\">Meeting rooms when needed<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"969\" data-end=\"1039\"><p data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"1039\">A professional environment without committing to a single location<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1209\">In Peru, the <strong data-start=\"1054\" data-end=\"1089\">All Access membership was S\/645<\/strong>, which felt reasonable for the flexibility it offered, a great price for a self-employed, world-travelling professional.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3e45ffb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3e45ffb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1538\">The Change: More Options, Higher Fees<\/h5><p data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1606\">Just as I was about to sign up, I noticed that things had shifted. Starting <strong data-start=\"1617\" data-end=\"1632\">January 5th<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1638\" data-end=\"1657\">All Access Plus<\/strong> plan increased from <strong data-start=\"1678\" data-end=\"1698\">S\/645 to S\/1,145<\/strong> Peruvian soles, a <strong data-start=\"1718\" data-end=\"1734\">43% increase<\/strong>. At the same time, WeWork introduced a new structure to its memberships.<\/p><p data-start=\"1809\" data-end=\"1865\">According to the information available on their website:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1867\" data-end=\"2135\"><li data-start=\"1867\" data-end=\"1983\"><p data-start=\"1869\" data-end=\"1983\"><strong data-start=\"1869\" data-end=\"1888\">All Access Plus<\/strong>\u00a0offers access to <strong data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1937\">450 locations worldwide<\/strong>, with <strong data-start=\"1944\" data-end=\"1980\">3 meeting room credits per month<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"2135\"><p data-start=\"1986\" data-end=\"2135\">A new <strong data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2012\">All Access Basic<\/strong> plan has been introduced, which includes access to <strong data-start=\"2064\" data-end=\"2091\">100 locations worldwide<\/strong> y <strong data-start=\"2096\" data-end=\"2132\">2 meeting room credits per month<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2137\" data-end=\"2194\">In <strong data-start=\"2140\" data-end=\"2150\">London<\/strong>, the Basic plan includes locations such as:<\/p><ul data-start=\"2195\" data-end=\"2247\"><li data-start=\"2195\" data-end=\"2219\"><p data-start=\"2197\" data-end=\"2219\"><strong data-start=\"2197\" data-end=\"2217\">26 Hatton Garden<\/strong><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2220\" data-end=\"2247\"><p data-start=\"2222\" data-end=\"2247\"><strong data-start=\"2222\" data-end=\"2245\">3 Waterhouse Square<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2249\" data-end=\"2299\">with access hours from <strong data-start=\"2272\" data-end=\"2299\">6:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-25ca9e1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"25ca9e1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 data-start=\"2306\" data-end=\"2340\">Rethinking What I Actually Need<\/h5><p data-start=\"2342\" data-end=\"2511\">For someone like me working with another country <strong data-start=\"2393\" data-end=\"2421\">five hours behind London<\/strong>\u00a0having access to a quiet, reliable space until around <strong data-start=\"2478\" data-end=\"2491\">8:00 p.m.<\/strong> is often essential.<\/p><p data-start=\"2513\" data-end=\"2651\">At the same time, I\u2019m not necessarily looking to explore multiple offices or rotate between locations every day. Most days, I simply need:<\/p><ul data-start=\"2652\" data-end=\"2718\"><li data-start=\"2652\" data-end=\"2670\"><p data-start=\"2654\" data-end=\"2670\">one calm space<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2671\" data-end=\"2685\"><p data-start=\"2673\" data-end=\"2685\">good Wi-Fi<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2686\" data-end=\"2718\"><p data-start=\"2688\" data-end=\"2718\">enough focus to be effective<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2720\" data-end=\"2778\">so I can finish my work and continue discovering the city. From that perspective, while the <strong data-start=\"2813\" data-end=\"2826\">Plus plan<\/strong> no longer feels aligned with my needs, the <strong data-start=\"2870\" data-end=\"2895\">Basic All Access plan<\/strong> starts to sound more realistic, even with the higher fee. It\u2019s less about having <em data-start=\"2978\" data-end=\"2990\">everything<\/em> and more about having <em data-start=\"3013\" data-end=\"3026\">just enough<\/em>. However, this doesnt change my surprise when I saw the 43% rise fee.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b5afc70 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b5afc70\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 data-start=\"358\" data-end=\"387\">Flexibility Beyond Pricing<\/h5><p data-start=\"389\" data-end=\"561\">I don\u2019t think the issue is the increase itself. Businesses evolve, costs change, and pricing strategies adapt. Differential pricing may simply no longer fit a global model.<\/p><p data-start=\"563\" data-end=\"861\">For someone working for a Peruvian company, however, paying a fee similar to local UK coworking spaces naturally invites comparison. Especially when part of WeWork\u2019s original appeal was the sense of value across countries, the idea that flexibility also considered different markets and realities.<\/p><p data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"1110\">Coworking spaces undeniably offer privacy and quiet things caf\u00e9s don\u2019t always provide. Yet flexibility, at least for me, also means being able to choose how much structure I actually need, depending on the day, the workload, and the city I\u2019m in.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-78be72a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"78be72a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 data-start=\"141\" data-end=\"171\">Back to Caf\u00e9s, With Options<\/h5><p data-start=\"173\" data-end=\"341\">For now, caf\u00e9s still play a big role in how I experience cities. They keep me connected to daily life, movement, and people. They make travel feel lived, not scheduled.<\/p><p data-start=\"343\" data-end=\"809\">Not because coworking spaces aren\u2019t valuable but because, right now, my creativity and focus thrive in places that feel alive, imperfect, and human. Even without the privacy I sometimes need, and even though I only discovered the second option days later searching on WeWork website, this feels like part of the journey: continuing to explore the city while carrying my laptop from caf\u00e9 to caf\u00e9, looking for the ones the open later than 4pm. Still, the option of a coworking space remains there for the moments when privacy truly matters.<\/p><p data-start=\"811\" data-end=\"971\">So I\u2019ll keep my laptop, my coffee, and my curiosity with me.
