Between Old and Modern London | City Findings

One thing I love about London is how this city has learned to move forward without erasing its past.
Every time I walk towards Bank Station after work, I find myself slowing down. The Royal Exchange, with its neoclassical columns and timeless presence, stands calmly in front of glass buildings that reflect the city’s constant movement. And somehow, it works.

London doesn’t compete with its history. It coexists with it.

London doesn’t compete with its history. It coexists with it.

That brief moment waiting for the light to change, buses passing by, people walking with purpose feels like a pause between two eras. The old reminding you where the city comes from, and the modern hinting at where it’s going next.

Sometimes, the city quietly asks you to slow down and notice what’s around you.
And London does that better than anywhere else.

A quiet moment between old and modern London.
